Marsabit National Park is a breathtaking popular destination known for hosting the huge long-tusked bull elephants which have greatly contributed to fame of this park in Africa. It is in this park that in 1970, an experiment was carried on an old elephant bull called Ahmed. This aged elephant was put under a 24 hour observation by the presidential command. Unfortunately, when this elephant died, it was recorded that its tusk weighing about 300 kilograms which made the park famous and worldwide known for the long impressive tusks of the Elephants surviving in this Park.
