12 Days Uganda Safari Adventure

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Jinja Our driver-guide will pick you up from the airport before noon and drive you to Jinja; The Adventure capital of East Africa. The road trip from Entebbe to Jinja will take around 2 hours and 35 mins arriving in the evening. Check in the hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Adventure sports and boat cruise to the source of the Nile After an early morning breakfast, prepare for an adventure on the Nile . You can choose from White rafting, quad biking, bungee jumping, and horseback riding among others. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3: Transfer to Sipi falls & hike After an early morning breakfast, check out and prepare for transfer to Sipi Falls using the Mbal-Tirinyi Rd. The trip will last about 3 hours arriving just in time for lunch. Dinner and Overnight stay at Sipi lodges Day 4: Community walk and transfer to Kidepo Valley Enjoy a hike that will give you stunning views of the falls, hills and valleys as you get a chance to meet locals and pass through coffee farms. After the walk, you will be driven straight to Kidepo Valley arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Kidepo lodges or camp. Day 5: Game drive and Karamajong visit After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to Narus Valley for an exciting morning game drive where you will spot a variety of wild animals including zebras, giraffes, bus pigs, Buffalo, and leopards among others. Transfer back to the lodge or camp for lunch before you embark on a journey to the infamous Karamajongs, spend some time with them learning about their way of life and also dancing and taking pictures with them. Transfer back to lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: Nature walk and evening game drive. After breakfast, enjoy a short guided walking 2-hour tour through the Narus Valley extending over 5km from Apoka tourism center. Enjoy the landscapes and wildlife under the guidance of an armed UWA official. Return back to lodge for lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive that offers you chance to spot the night hunters. Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. After an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and prepare for transfer to Murchison Falls Park; Uganda’s oldest and most visited park. The long road trip will last about 10 hours using the Kampala-Gulu highway arriving in the evening just in time for dinner. Overnight stay at Murchison Falls safari lodge or camp. Day 8: Game drive and boat cruise. Enjoy your breakfast and prepare for a game drive in the park. Expect to encounter a variety of animals and birds including hippos, lions, elephants, bushbucks, giraffes, Impala and warthogs to mention but a few. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before going for a 3-hour boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Expect to encounter a variety of land and water animals including the crocodiles and hippos. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay. Day 9: Transfer to Kibale forest. After an early morning breakfast, prepare for a 6-hour drive to Kibale forest arriving in the afternoon just in time for lunch. Check in, relax and enjoy view of the forest. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale safari lodge or camp. Day 10: Chimp tracking and Bigodi wetland sanctuary walk. After an early breakfast, prepare for a trip to the Kanyanchu Visitors Center where you will start you trek in search of the chimpanzees. Expect to encounter a variety of other species including birds and several other primates including red-tailed monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, olive baboons, blu monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys among others. Return to lodge or camp for lunch before embarking on an evening nature walk through Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Expect to encounter a variety of birds. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi After breakfast, check out of the lodge and prepare for transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Raid trip will last about 6 and half hours using the Kabale-Mbarara road. Check in at Bunyonyi safari, camp, lodge or resort. Day 12: Canoe ride exploration & drive back to Kampala city. After breakfast, enjoy a dug-out canoe ride exploring the Islands and getting a chance to spot the locals go about their day-to-day life. Return to the lodge for lunch and check out for transfer back to Kampala or the airport. END OF 12 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI
