3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Gorilla trekking is regarded as the best wildlife encounter by a majority of avid travelers and there's no better place to track them than in the infamous Virunga ranges. Volcanoes park also known as Parc National des Volcans encompasses 5 of the 8 Virunga mountains home to up to 604 mountain gorillas, the beautiful golden monkeys and is alos the base for Din Fossey tomb and research center. Day 1- Transfer to Volcanoes park Our driver-guide will pick you up from hotel or airport ans take you on short tour around Kigali city before heading out to Volcanoes park. Visit genocide memorials, art galleries, and local markets among other places. You will have lunch within the city before proceeding to Volcano park. The road trip will last about 2 and a half hours arriving at the park in the evening. Check-in at the safari lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2- Gorilla trekking begins After an early morning breakfast, our driver will transfer you to the briefing point where the guides will take you through the do's and dont's when trekking gorillas in Volcanoes park. TRacking can last up to 5 hours depending on the current location of the gorillas in that sector and you will be given only 1 hour to watch and take pictures of the gorillas as they rest, interact, feed and play. Littering, feeding the gorillas, noise making and flashy photography are all prohibited. Enjoy your packed lucnh in the wild before trekking to the pick up point where you will be driven back to your safari lodge or camp for lunch and relaxation. If you are still up for it, you can go for optional activities like visiting the Musanze caves or twin lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/ camp/ guest house. Day 3- Cultural visit & return to Kigali After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to Gorilla Guardians Village for a chance to experience Rwanda's culture and history. Learn about how some of these former poachers survive and also get non-stop entertainment from the locals. Transfer back to lodge, check out and prepare to be transfered back to Kigali ending the gorilla safari in Rwanda volcanoes park. END OF GORILLA SAFARI
