5 Days Rwanda Safari Tour

The 5 days Rwanda safari combines the best of game drives and primate tracking taking you to Akagera national for game drive and boat cruise plus a chance to encounter the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys in Volcanoes park. Day 1- Transfer to Akagera national park Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport and drive you to Akagera national park; Rwanda's only savanah and largest wildlife reserve. Enjoy en-route lunch at Rwandese restaurant before proceeding to the park arriving in the evening. Check in at Akagera game lodge, Ruzizi tented camp or Karenge bush camp. Day 2- Akagera game drive & transfer to Volcanos park Embark on an early morning game drive through the park where you will get chan ce to encounter a variety of wild animals and birds including lions, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, crocodiles to mention but a few. Return to lodge/ camp for lunch and check out. Proceed to Volcanoes park arriving in the evening, check in and relax or emabrk on village walking tour with our driver-guide. After the village walk, return to lodge/ camp for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3- Gorilla trekking & Iby'iwachu cultural village After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquaters for briefing about the do's and dont's when tracking gorillas in Volcanoes park. Gorilla trekking may last between 1 to 8 hours depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family and you will be given only 1 hour to observe and take pictures of the gorillas as they rest, feed, playe and interact in the wild. Enjoy your pcked lunch the wild before heading back to the lodge/ camp for relaxation. After relaxing and freshening up, our driver guide will transfer you to the infamous Iby'iwachu cultural village in Kininingi where you will get oppotuinities to enjoy live dance, acting and singing performance by the locals depicting their rich culture and traditional way of life. Day 4: Golden monkey tracking & Musanze caves tour Enjoy an early morning breakfast before transfer to Volcno park headquater for briefing the park rangers on the do's and dont's when tracking golden monkeys. Unlike gorilla trekking, the golden monkeys are very easy to find usually feeding in the close by bamboo forets. You will be given 1 hour to observe and take pictures of these beautiful golden primates. Retun to strting point and transfer back to the lodge/ camp for lunch. After lunch, prepare for a tour of the Musanze caves with the longest one extending for about 2 km. Return to your lodge /camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. Day 5: Return to Kigali city Enjoy an early morning breakfast, check out and prepare for transfer back to Kigali city or airport ending your 5 days wildlife and gorilla safari in Rwanda.
